SuperDraft Admin

Internal Dashboard

ROLE
Lead Product Designer
Scaling quickly as a lean startup deprioritized our internal tools. Over the past few years, this has significantly impacted our bottom line due to inefficiency and inaccuracy.

With the decision to rebuild our Admin tool, we started with the most impactful section, player props. Managing player prop contests requires a lot of attention; it's an around-the-clock job. As sports news breaks, our lines need to adjust accordingly, or we will be financially exposed.
Where we started
SuperDraft's Admin tool was built and managed solely by the development team. As requests from admin came in, they were added to the product with no long-term planning regarding navigation, consistency, or even usability.

Player props functionality is the most recent addition to the Admin tool and arguably the most difficult to use. I started this project by documenting the current design, interviewing internal personas, and redesigning a sitemap to confirm structure with the development team.
Where we're headed
Our goals are to make the admin tool more user-friendly and accessible. Instead of directly implementing fixes for pain points, we started from scratch and reconfigured the user journey to build a more cohesive flow based on the context of the interviews.

Increased Data Visualization
From improved table structures to data summaries and threshold monitoring, our teams will be set up for success to find errors and adjust the lines quickly.

Accuracy
We are adding increased functionality to help the team provide more precise lines to reduce exposure and increase our revenue. The new tools include auto-line generation, bulk canceling, and line adjustments.

Onboarding
With the team's growth, I also focused on ways to help with the sharp onboarding curve. Descriptions are being added to all of the core screens and forms as well as increased edit barriers to reduce the amount of human error.
